Today’s officials are receiving little training, coaching, mentorship and feedback to improve their skills and increase their confidence on the ice. This leads to frustrated players, coaches, and parents and leaves many parents opting out of letting their kids get involved in officiating. The vicious cycle of unqualified officials will never end, if we don’t step in.
