Stay with us for a second.. Imagine if your shower had a 20-foot pipe between the handle and the showerhead. By the time you adjusted the temperature and felt the water, you’d either be scalded or freezing. The feedback is too slow.
Learning works the same way – feedback has to be immediate to be effective.
That’s why live, in-person evaluations matter. Using the Plan-Do-Check-Adjust feedback loop, officials work directly with an Evaluator to gain real-time insight and leave with a clear, actionable plan they can apply in their very next game.
Pre-Game Alignment
Before the puck drop, you’ll meet with the Evaluator to do introductions, set expectations, discuss focus areas, and answer any questions you may have.
in-game observation
Evaluator observes and takes notes during the game looking at positioning, awareness, anticipation, communication, decision-making, & confidence.
immediate debrief
Meet again with the Evaluator while the game is still fresh to discuss what went well, areas needing improvement, & practical adjustments you can apply immediately.
Written evaluation
Following the game you’ll receive a written evaluation that includes a breakdown of key performance areas, strengths, clear developmental snapshot & recommended focus points.
Optional ongoing mentorship available
Live evaluations along with ongoing mentorship and coaching allow us to track improvement over time and work an individualized development plan.
